Chariot is the 276th chapter of Hiro Mashima's Fairy Tail.

The second day of the Grand Magic Games finally begins and starts off with Chariot, a race that takes place on top of interconnected chariots. As the other participants race towards the goal, the three Dragon Slayers participating in the event: Natsu, Gajeel and Sting, are left behind due to their motion sickness. However, Natsu and Gajeel's sheer determination gives them the drive to keep moving forward and finish the race while Sting decides to give up.

Summary
The second day of the Grand Magic Games officially begins and the participants are to race on top of interconnected chariots while avoiding being thrown off. In the lead is Kurohebi of Team Raven Tail followed by Ichiya of Team Blue Pegasus, Yuka of Team Lamia Scale, Risley of Team Mermaid Heel, Bacchus of Team Quatro Cerberus and Natsu of Team Fairy Tail A, Gajeel of Team Fairy Tail B and Sting of Team Sabertooth lagging behind due to the three getting motion sickness, much to the watching crowd's surprise and amusement.

In order to get the lead, Yuka proceeds to use Magic, using Wave Boost to boost his speed and attack Ichiya and Risley behind him. Risley easily dodges the attack by using her Gravity Transformation while Ichiya uses his Perfume Magic to boost his speed as well. Seeing his opponents doing their best, Bacchus unleashes his strength and destroys a chariot, causing the other racers to lose their balance and giving him the chance to win the game, earning his team 10 points. He is then followed by Kurohebi, Risley, Yuka and Ichiya.

Meanwhile, the three Dragon Slayers are still lagging behind and the crowd begins to laugh at them. Natsu and Gajeel, however, are determined to finish the race for their guild and continue while Sting gives up and asks them the reason why they joined the tournament. Natsu replies that he did it for the friends who waited for them for the past seven years and who had selflessly defended the guild against the naysayers around them. Hearing Natsu's words, the guild members begin to cry just as Natsu and Gajeel reach the goal, winning two points and one point for their teams. With the race finished, Sting leaves the field and is angered by the reason that Natsu has given him.
